Islamic Counselling
When facing problems — either marital trouble, financial difficulties, mental health issues, or otherwise — many Muslims are reluctant to seek professional counselling. Some people consider it degrading or inappropriate to speak of one’s troubles to others.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Islam teaches us to give good advice to others and to offer guidance and support when needed. Friends, family, and Islamic leaders may be good listeners but are probably not trained to offer professional guidance and support.
Professional Muslim counsellors, psychologists, and psychiatrists offer mental health services which can help save a person’s happiness, marriage, or life. They may balance an understanding of faith issues, with health care guidance grounded in the medical profession. Muslims should not feel reluctant to seek support if they feel that they cannot cope. Our experienced Counselling Imam can help you do not hesitate and reach out for help.
